Hello, As-salamu alaykum!

Hi there, I’m Kanzah. I’m a Canadian Muslim and Psychology Honours student at the University of Alberta. I was born in Mississauga, Ontario and later moved to Spruce Grove, Alberta.
My research and professional work focuses on neurodevelopmental differences, with a particular interest in child and adolescent mental health. My Honours thesis explores the living experiences of individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and I’m currently working as a Behavioural Interventionist supporting an autistic child and their family alongside a multi-disciplinary team (e.g., SLP, OT, BCBA). Broadly, I’m passionate about leveraging resiliency factors, enhancing developmental wellness, and amplifying the voices of neurodivergent individuals through a dual-approach framework: using a strengths-based lens while remaining candid about the challenges they may face.
In my free time, you can find me exploring nature, tending to my plants, or reading a good book next to my cats.
